should parents have the "right" to make children drop what they are doing just to go do something that the parent is quite capable of doing them selves? doesnt this just teach the child to be lazy because some one else smaller then you will do it if you demand it of them?

No! They shouldnt! Control... Thats what it is... With me... I just refuse... They get angry for a while, but eventually they see your not a tool, and you do have your own mind, and for the msot part they leave you alone. V

Parents should respect their children just as much as they wish for them to respect them. Obedience goes two ways. That doesn't mean either should lord over the other, just if you want your kids to obey, respect, and live peacfully with you, you need to treat them with KINDNESS. grr, ill shut up now...didn't need to bring this here.
