what is ment by the phrase "an old soul"?
does it mean that your from another time? or does it mean that you act older than you actually are?

Good question  Im not sure the definition other people use for it, but for me an "old soul" is some who has been alive for a long time, as in has had a lot of past lives, and who can remember a lot of their past lives, and can draw on that wisdom. |

The term "old soul" has nothing to do with the actual spirit-soul. Spirit-soul is eternal. That means that it is without beginning and without end. When someone says "he's an old soul", I take it as meaning the person is wise beyond his/her years. Of course, "years" based on the duration of the present body. |

not neccessarily. You might have memories of a past life, but usually its just a feeling. A kind of... knowing... You have a sense that you have got to be older than just your physical body, you feel like you have been alive for a long long time... Thats the way it is for me anyway, other people might be different...

okay....well if our souls are never born and never die....would that be concidered as reincarnation? but than how are souls formed?

We were not always here. We fell here and have been taking on material form after material form. The soul is eternal form. That means that it was never "formed". There was never a time when it didn't exist, nor will there ever be a time when it ceases to exist. |

I think the soul, as Vaisnava said, is eternal. As is the universe. It was never created, and it will never be destroyed. To have a fixed point in time that the universe was created, you need time. And time doesnt exist out there, it only exists because humans created it. The universe was always here, and it will always be here. IMO  Good question btw |

Well an old soul, like me, feels like the lives that we have lived in the past have brought us to where we are now. We see new souls and help them progress as we once did. I can't remember my past lives, but I know I am old. I seem to be one of the only people on this earth that gets it. I certainly feel like I have been here and seen all this bullshit before, and I have to help with the change still.
I'll explain how souls are new and old.
You have to first undersstand that the one is absolutlely everything. Everything you see think or do is part of the one. We are all part of a collective consciouness that is spread throughout all living things. I know because I have had bonding with other living things. New souls is when the One fragments its section of conscoiuness and forgets it is one and begins a simple none complex life of simple organizm. The further an soul goes the more complex it's shell becomes. Once it becomes a human shell, it then continues the progress of becoming One again.
No thing is eternally the same, to think such a thing can exist is unrational.
