The police, do you think they must have a right to search you on the street when they meet you?
If your answer is "yes", what must be the reasons for such search? Or the police must be able to do it with no reason?..

I say no. Even if they have a reason, it might not be "valid" to you. His/her excuse could be that it makes sense to him/her, and he'd search anyway.

Well I *want* to say no, its not right for a police officer to search you, but I think that in certain circumstance, it could be ok. Say you make it illegal for police to search people. If they see you putting a gun or a bomb into a coat pocket, and walk towards a school bus full of children, what can they do? They legally cant do anything. I think in very stric circumstance, such as if they have good reason that you are carrying a weapon or a destructive device, then they can search. But for things like dope, or minors carryign alcohol, I dont think they have a right to just stop you and search you.

Thats a good point, but how do you define right and wrong? You can leave it up to the individual, because just look at Bin laden and Al quaida, they seem tot think blowing up building full of innocents is perfectly right. Although using your discretion is of course ok, as in bending or breaking a few rules here and there. Im against rules as a whole, but people arent ready to live with anarchy yet. There would be chaos.
