Thoughts? I think its a good idea, but it doesnt work in real life. The state owns everything, and everyone gets paid the same. Sounds good. But the guy who works his ass off every day of the week gets paid the same as the guy who never bothers to come in, and just sits there doing nothing. Theres no incentive to work hard, since everyone gets paid the same. So soon noone bothers to work. But in capitalism you get paid more the more work you do, so there is an incentive to work harder. What do people think of it?

i would have to agree with both of you...why would you want to work at all if everyone gets paid the same? communism in my opinion is a real big disaster. it causes a real big decrease in the quality of your countries exports. why would you want ot work hard? but do you think that communism causes a high unemployment rate? -kt-

Good question, im not actually sure. I assume you dont get paid if you are unemployed? Is there a social welfare system? I think it would lead to fairly low unemployment, because you can do very little work and get paid a reasonable wage. I think it can be made to work, if people would just do their best, and try to make it work, but as Vampire said, people are just too lazy lol...

Prove to me that we are not all equil and then we can talk about it. But as it stands, you have a very ignorant opinion without any prove as to why you believe you are better then someone else.

He may have meant in terms of financial matters, such as someone who works harder should get paid more, which I think is fair.

What if someone can't work harder. What work is considered harder?
It is all a matter of opionion when it comes to stuff like that. THe only way we do it in this society is if it is dangerous like factory work, or makes large sums of money like insurance companies or banks.
That is why it becomes unfair. Cirtain people who have no chance of every aquiring the appropriate knowledge to do work that is high paying get screwed by the very system they live in. The rich get more rich and the poor become more poor. The thing about this is that sometimes it is very uncontrolable when it comes to money. And people in north america with the same paying job, can work really hard or half assed and still be paid the same. So in actuallity there is no argument. I mean the senate rarely show up, and they get paid loads of money.
In my opinion, knowing that everyone gets paid the same make me feel much better. But im sure there are insentives to work hard in a communist country. Like beatings, whippings, losing everything you own.

I see your point silver, but im speaking in terms of time spent working. If you do an hour of difficult work, you should get paid more than someone who does 20 mins of sitting around drinking coffee. I agree that the type of work people get paid for should matter less, but if you pay people the same regardless of what work they are doing, where is the incentive to get educated? If they dont get educated, where are the technical and scientific innovations?
