It provides us with food and electricity and lots of stuff that make our life easier... but it limits our freedom, it tries to change our point of view, turn us into a society building material... into "bricks"...
A way to build a perfect society - to make all look the same, think the same, act the same...

It has recently been "studied" that teens nowadays are more hard-working than any before. They can't figure out why, but I have one of the answers: I have trouble just resting, and always have to be doing *something*, yet with today's society, that "relaxation" that it (society) brings forth is becoming more rejected than enjoyed - which may well be one of the "hidden" reasons for war and such.
Ahh, my needless rants in an early morning. ;D

gah, forgot about this thread Its all about choice. Some people dont see any detriments to society. They see it as providing all they need, and taking little from them. Some people see it as providing false comforts and taking our freedom, and as sniper said, forcing us to conform to their laws. I think people are entitled to a choice. People today are born into the rules of society, they have no choice but to accept it. To leave society you need money for food, water, etc. To get that kind of money requires a lifetime of working in society, so its a vicious circle. I think if people ad a genuine choice we could cut down on a lot of the problems in society, such as crime, drugs etc. If people arent able to leave society, they get frustrated, and turn to alcohol, drugs, crime whatever. Providing an alternative should be a right, not a privilige reserved for rich people.

Drugs are not a problem with society. Drugs are about control of minorities.
